Vehicles CAD blocks
Vehicle CAD blocks for site plans, garages and street elevations: cars, vans and semi-trucks, a city bus, airliners and helicopters, boats from a rowboat to a cargo ship, bicycles and electric scooters, a cable car and a chairlift, and military aircraft. Plan views show the footprint for parking and access checks; side, front and rear elevations give the heights for driveways, canopies, loading areas and bridge clearances.

About vehicles CAD blocks
Cars in plan run from 13′-10⅜″ to 14′-9⅛″ (4225–4500 mm) long. Classic and sports models such as the Porsche 911 Turbo (930), Shelby Cobra and Lamborghini Countach LP 5000 S come with plan and elevations on one sheet. Bigger vehicles include a truck 34′-11¾″ (10,662 mm) long in plan, a city bus 34′-8⅞″ (10,590 mm) long in side elevation, a helicopter, an airliner plan that spans 231′-10¼″ (70,669 mm) and a cargo ship 655′-6⅛″ (199,798 mm) long. Personal mobility is covered too, with a bicycle, kick scooters, an electric unicycle and riders, while a cable car and a chairlift serve ski resorts and mountain stations.
Check cars against a 9′ × 18′ (2743 × 5486 mm) parking stall and a 7′ (2134 mm) high garage door, trucks and buses against 12′ (3658 mm) travel lanes and the 13′-6″ (4115 mm) height limit common in most states, and bikes against a 2′ × 6′ (610 × 1829 mm) parking space with a 5′ (1524 mm) aisle. Large vehicles are drawn at full size like everything else, so an airliner at scale 1 is as long in model space as it is on the apron; plot the sheet at an engineering scale such as 1″ = 50′ and the viewport takes care of the rest. Turning paths for trucks and buses still need a proper swept-path check by the civil engineer.
Frequently asked questions
Will the car blocks fit a 9′ × 18′ parking stall?
Yes. The plan-view cars run 13′-10⅜″ to 14′-9⅛″ (4225–4500 mm) long and 67¼″ to 75″ (1708–1904 mm) wide, so each fits a 9′ × 18′ (2743 × 5486 mm) stall with room for bumpers and doors. For layouts with aisles and angled bays, use the parking blocks in Urban & sports.
Which cars come with all views on one drawing?
The classic and sports models, such as the Porsche 911 (1964-1989), Ferrari 328 GTS, Mazda RX-7 (FD), Audi A4 (B6) and the Volkswagen New Beetle, carry plan and elevations on one sheet. The Audi 80 Cabriolet (B4) comes as two sheets, top up and top down, for showroom and garage drawings.
How do I show an aircraft at real size on a site plan?
Insert it at scale 1 like any other block: the airliner plan is 231′-10¼″ × 196′-10″ (70,669 × 59,995 mm) and the single-engine airplane 20′-3⅝″ × 32′-1⅜″ (6187 × 9789 mm), so they check apron, hangar and taxiway space directly. Plot the sheet at an engineering scale such as 1″ = 100′.
Are the electric scooters drawn with riders?
Some are. Alongside bare vehicles such as the electric unicycle and hoverboards, there is a woman riding an electric kick scooter and a woman riding a self-balancing scooter. The ridden versions are useful in street sections and bike-lane studies, where headroom under signs matters.
How big is a city bus for a bus stop design?
The city bus is 34′-8⅞″ (10,590 mm) long and 10′-2″ (3100 mm) high in side elevation and 100⅜″ (2550 mm) wide in front view. US transit buses are commonly 35′ or 40′ (10.7 or 12.2 m) long, and federal rules cap vehicle width at 102″ (2591 mm), so size bus bays to match.
