Bathroom CAD blocks
Bathroom CAD blocks for plans and elevations: toilets and bidets, vanities and washbasins, bathtubs and whirlpools, shower trays, urinals and accessories such as a toilet paper holder or a bathroom mirror. Fixtures come in plan for layouts and in front or side elevation for interior elevations, all drawn at full size, so a 63″ (1600 mm) tub or a 30″ (762 mm) shower pan drops straight into a residential or commercial bathroom plan.

About bathroom CAD blocks
In plan, the standard toilet measures 26″ × 14¼″ (660 × 362 mm), sinks run from a 19″ (482 mm) oval undermount sink to a double oval vanity sink 62⅞″ (1596 mm) long, and tubs from a round whirlpool bathtub 59″ (1500 mm) across to a corner bathtub 86½″ (2197 mm) long. Elevations cover a pedestal sink, a double-basin vanity, a toilet with flush tank and a wall-mounted urinal, and small plan blocks such as the basin faucet and bathtub faucet go on top of any fixture. Public restrooms get a public restroom urinal and a compact urinal.
When you lay out a bathroom, the IRC (R307) keeps 15″ (381 mm) from a toilet's centerline to any wall or fixture and 21″ (533 mm) of clear floor in front of it. The usual toilet rough-in is 12″ (305 mm) from the finished wall to the drain. Showers need at least 900 sq in with no side under 30″ (762 mm) (IRC P2708.1), and an accessible lavatory keeps its rim no higher than 34″ (864 mm) with knee space below (ADA 606). Plan views also appear on a 1 ft / 500 mm grid on each block page, which makes it easy to read those distances off the preview before you download. For full ADA layouts, the Accessible design category has grab bars, turning circles and mounting-height sheets.
Frequently asked questions
How small can a full bathroom be?
A common US minimum is about 5′ × 8′ (1524 × 2438 mm): a 60″ tub across the 5′ end, with the toilet and the lavatory side by side along the 8′ wall. Check it in plan against the IRC figures of 15″ (381 mm) from a toilet's centerline to a wall and 21″ (533 mm) clear in front.
What size is a standard bathtub in CAD?
The common US alcove tub is 60″ × 30–32″ (1524 × 762–813 mm). Here the rectangular bathtub is 63″ × 27½″ (1600 × 700 mm) in plan, the rectangular bathtub with rim 66⅞″ × 33⅞″ (1700 × 860 mm), and the whirlpool bathtub 86⅞″ (2207 mm) long, so measure the alcove before you commit.
Which bathroom fixtures also have 3D versions?
The toilet, bidet, pedestal sink and corner bathtub each have a matching 3D model, and the 3D models section adds more bathroom pieces. Keep the 2D blocks for plans and elevations, which stay light, and switch to 3D where you need to orbit around a vanity or render a finished room.
How high should a mirror hang above a bathroom sink?
In an accessible bathroom, the bottom edge of the reflecting surface goes no higher than 40″ (1016 mm) above the floor when the mirror is over a lavatory or counter (ADA 603.3). In an interior elevation, place the bathroom mirror block, 29⅜″ × 31⅛″ (747 × 792 mm), with its lower edge on that line.
Do the bathroom blocks include faucets and traps?
Faucets, yes: the sink with faucet includes one, and the basin faucet and bathtub faucet are separate plan blocks you can place on any basin or tub. Traps and pipe runs live in the MEP category, which has a bottle trap and a typical bathroom plumbing scheme for riser diagrams.
