1. Who runs cadgrid.net
cadgrid.net is created and run by an architect (“we”). You can reach us at info@cadgrid.net or through the contact form. By using the site or downloading a file, you accept these terms.
2. Where the files come from
The files on cadgrid.net come from different sources: some were drawn by us, others were shared freely by visitors and users, and others are free to use. Whatever its source, before we publish a file we check and prepare it: its units, its base point at 0,0, and a version in inches and one in millimeters.
We don’t publish files whose author has reserved the copyright and doesn’t want them shared. If one of the files is yours, see Copyright and removal requests.
3. What you can do
You can use the files you download in your own work, free of charge and for as long as you like. In particular, you can:
- insert the blocks into drawings for any project, paid or unpaid, for yourself, your employer or your clients;
- change them in any way, including scaling, exploding, redrawing and converting them to other formats;
- deliver and publish the results: plans, elevations, renders, PDFs, prints, presentations and images;
- keep the blocks inside the DWG, DXF, RVT or SKP files you hand over to clients and collaborators, as part of a project drawing.
4. What you can’t do
These limits protect our own drawings and the people who shared theirs. Without our written permission you can’t:
- sell, rent or give away the blocks as files, on their own or bundled, even if you changed them;
- upload them to another website, CAD library, marketplace, template store or file-sharing service;
- link directly to our download files from another site;
- present the blocks as your own original drawings;
- use them to create a library, pack or product that competes with cadgrid.net.
Linking to a block’s page on cadgrid.net is always welcome.
5. Credit
Credit is not required. If you’d like to mention us, for example in a portfolio or a tutorial, you can write:

6. No warranty, no liability
The files and information on cadgrid.net are free to download and are provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee that their dimensions are exact, or that a block is complete, up to date or suitable for your project. Downloading a file doesn’t make us responsible for how it is used.
The same applies to the guides, sizes and clearances published on the site. They are general reference information, not professional advice.
You alone are responsible for how you use the files and the information, and for any consequences. Before you build, order or install anything, check every dimension against the manufacturer’s data and the codes that apply to your project, and ask a qualified professional when needed.
To the fullest extent the law allows, cadgrid.net and its owner accept no liability for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, caused by using the files or the information on this site.
7. Copyright and removal requests
If you can show that you are the author of a file published on cadgrid.net and you don’t want it shown here, tell us through the contact form or at info@cadgrid.net. Please include:
- the address of the block page;
- your name and how we can contact you;
- how you can show the drawing is yours, for example the original file or a link to where you first published it.
We review every request and remove the file if the request is justified.
8. Trademarks and designs shown
Notice: AutoCAD®, Revit® and all other Autodesk software products mentioned on this website are registered trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries and/or affiliates in the USA and/or other countries. cadgrid.net is independent of Autodesk, Inc. and is not affiliated with, authorized, endorsed, sponsored or otherwise approved by Autodesk, Inc.
Some blocks show real products, such as designer chairs or car models. Their names are used only to describe what the block shows. Other product names and trademarks on the site belong to their owners, and we are not connected with them. Using a block doesn’t give you the right to manufacture or sell the design it shows.
9. Advertising and external links
To stay free, cadgrid.net may show ads served by Google AdSense or other advertising networks. The networks choose which ads you see, and an ad on the site doesn’t mean we recommend the product or the advertiser.
We are not responsible for the content of ads, or of the external websites that ads and links lead to. How ad networks use cookies and data is explained in the privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The date at the top shows the current version. Files you downloaded before a change can still be used under the terms that applied when you downloaded them.
11. Questions
Not sure if your use is covered, or want to use the files in a way this page doesn’t allow? Contact us before you do. Most requests get a quick yes.
